How to Get an Invisible Name in Free Fire and PUBG

An invisible name shows as a blank space in the lobby, the scoreboard and the kill feed. It is done with a real Unicode character rather than a hack, and it takes about thirty seconds.

The method

Copy an invisible character from the invisible character page, open your in-game name change, delete your current name, paste the character, and confirm.

Most games require a minimum name length. If one character is rejected, paste two or three — they are still invisible, and the field now sees enough characters to accept.

Which character

This is the part that decides whether it works.

Hangul Filler (U+3164) is the most widely accepted in games. It belongs to the Korean character block and is treated as a normal character rather than whitespace, which is exactly what gets it through validation.

Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) is the reliable backup. It is a legitimate braille cell — the one with no dots — and passes where the first is rejected.

Zero Width Space (U+200B) rarely works in games. Most reject it explicitly.

Free Fire

Free Fire requires a name change card for anything after the first change. The character pastes into the name field like any other.

Free Fire has tightened its validation over time, so a single character is sometimes rejected where two or three pass. It is also common for the name to appear blank in some parts of the interface and show a placeholder in others.

PUBG Mobile and BGMI

Both require a rename card. Both accept invisible characters, and both have periodically tightened validation.

The most reliable approach on these is a mixture: one visible character followed by several invisible ones produces a name that appears almost empty while passing length checks comfortably.

Testing before you spend a rename card

This is worth doing, because rename cards cost money.

The invisible character page has a test box. Copy your intended name, paste it in, and it counts how many invisible characters it found. If the count is zero, your copy did not carry the characters and the paste will fail in-game too.

Copying from a page that displays the character inside brackets is the common failure — you may capture the brackets rather than the character.

Why it sometimes stops working

Games update their validation. A method that worked last season may fail this one, usually because the developer added a check against non-printing characters.

When that happens, switching character is the first thing to try. If every invisible character fails, the game is validating against an allowed-character list rather than trimming whitespace, and nothing invisible will pass.

Is it against the rules?

Most games do not explicitly prohibit it, but some terms of service discourage names designed to obscure identity, and a few competitive modes require a readable name.

It is worth checking your game’s terms before using one in ranked play. In casual modes it is almost never an issue.

The alternative

Why the name looks blank but is not empty

The distinction matters for troubleshooting. Your name is not empty — it contains one or more real characters that happen to have no visible shape. The game stores them, transmits them, and draws nothing.

That is why the name works in some parts of the interface and shows a placeholder in others: different screens handle zero-width rendering differently, and some substitute a default when they measure the text as having no width.

Combining visible and invisible

The most durable approach is not a fully blank name but a minimal one — a single symbol followed by several invisible characters. It passes length validation comfortably, survives interface quirks, and still reads as almost nothing on the scoreboard.
