Invisible Characters — Copy, Paste and Test
An invisible character is real text with no visible shape. It occupies a position in a string, satisfies a “this field cannot be empty” check, and displays as nothing at all. Copy one above, then paste it into the test box to confirm it worked — the counter moves even though the box looks empty.
Which one to use
There are several and they are not interchangeable. Hangul Filler (U+3164) is the most widely accepted and the one to try first — most platforms treat it as a normal character rather than whitespace, so it survives trimming. Braille Blank (U+2800) is the best backup and works in several places Hangul Filler is rejected. Zero Width Space (U+200B) is the most likely to be stripped, because many platforms explicitly filter it. Between the first two, nearly every platform is covered.
Sending a blank message
Copy the Hangul Filler, paste it into the message box, and the send button activates even though the field looks empty. It works on WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and most chat apps. The full walkthrough with screenshots is in our blank WhatsApp message guide.
Invisible names in games
Free Fire, PUBG, BGMI and several other games accept invisible characters as nicknames, producing a player name that appears blank in the lobby and on the scoreboard. Paste one or more invisible characters as your entire name. Some games have tightened their validation over time, so if one character is rejected, try pasting two, or switch to the Braille Blank.
Spacing in bios and captions
Instagram collapses consecutive line breaks in bios, which is why your carefully spaced bio arrives as a single block. Putting an invisible character alone on each blank line stops the collapse, because the line is no longer empty. The same trick works in TikTok bios and YouTube descriptions.
Why it sometimes does not work
Platforms trim whitespace to stop empty posts, and some classify these characters as whitespace. If nothing sends, switch character — that solves it most of the time. If a name field rejects it, the game or app is validating against an allowed-character list rather than trimming, and no invisible character will pass.

FAQ
What is an invisible character?
A Unicode character with no visible glyph. It is real text — it fills a field and moves a character counter — but displays as nothing.
How do I copy an invisible character?
Press Copy next to any character above, then paste it wherever you need it. Use the test box on this page to confirm the copy worked.
How do I send a blank message on WhatsApp?
Copy the Hangul Filler, paste it into the message box — the send button activates even though the box looks empty — and send.
How do I make an invisible name in Free Fire or PUBG?
Paste one or more invisible characters as your entire nickname. If a single one is rejected, try two, or use the Braille Blank instead.
Why is my invisible character not working?
Some platforms trim characters they classify as whitespace. Switch from Zero Width Space to Hangul Filler or Braille Blank, which survive far more often.
Is using invisible characters allowed?
In bios and messages, yes — it is ordinary text. Some games discourage blank names in their terms, so check before using one competitively.
