Lenny Faces on Instagram: Bios, Captions, Comments & Notes
Instagram is one of the friendliest platforms for text faces: bios, captions, comments, and Notes all accept Unicode. A few quirks are worth knowing so your face renders the way you expect.
Bios
The bio field accepts faces, fancy fonts, and symbols, and line breaks entered in the mobile app are preserved. A classic combo is a centered face above two short lines — build the whole thing in our Bio Generator and paste once.
Captions and comments
Faces work perfectly. One caution: Instagram collapses multiple consecutive line breaks in captions, which flattens multi-line text art — keep art single-line, or use the invisible character from our Invisible Character tool on each empty line to preserve spacing. That trick is the standard way to make clean line breaks in captions.
Notes and username
Notes (the little bubbles above DMs) allow 60 characters and love a compact face like ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) or (◕‿◕). The @username itself only accepts letters, numbers, periods, and underscores — put styled text in your display name instead.
